What is the role about?
This position is primarily responsible for the hands-on design, development, and support of Endress+Hauser Gas Measurement products throughout their lifecycle. Collaborate with a multi-national, cross-functional team to create and test innovative product offerings while optimizing the performance of existing production lines.
Which tasks will you perform?
Develop and execute projects in adherence to Endress+Hauser Gas Measurement product development processes, including design control, quality standards, company regulations, and national/international compliance requirements. Collaborate with internal and external resources to meet technical, cost, and schedule goals. Contribute to cross-functional project teams and participate in reviews with peers and stakeholders. Perform all mechanical engineering tasks for product development, including creating engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials. Address technical requirements, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and provide time and cost estimations. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, certifications, and regulatory agencies. Plan, develop, and execute tests to verify operation, reliability, and performance, ensuring quality is integrated into the design. Prepare technical documents, reports, correspondence, and other content. Build expertise in Endress+Hauser Gas Measurement products, new developments, and engineering processes. Utilize CAD, project management, and collaboration tools to streamline product development and improve efficiency.What do we expect from you?
You will have (required):
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field OR equivalent experience in related field.You may have (preferred):
Expertise in mechanical design, testing, and analysis (e.g., GD&T, vibration analysis, non-destructive testing, stress/strain analysis) and product approval processes (UL, CE, TUV). Proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong problem-solving, algorithm development, analytical, design, and debugging skills, with the ability to thoroughly analyze technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions. Ability to work and make informed decisions independently and on own initiative. Collaborates effectively with others, sometimes across departments, to achieve organizational goals and enhance customer experience. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting information clearly, articulating complex technical issues, and engaging with individuals at all levels. Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting a business-critical production environment. Possesses a passion for continuous learning and development, and a desire to explore new opportunities and expand professional horizons. Culturally aware and sensitive to cultural differences, capable of working effectively in cross-cultural teams. Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and influence teams, build trust and credibility, and effectively coach and guide individuals without relying on formal authority.
