Job Description
Prepare all necessary documents to support the interior and structural modification of aircraft such as detail, assembly, and installation drawings, specification documents, and substantiation reports. Coordinate with outside suppliers, internal departments, and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, and certification of new interior components to support floorplan modifications. Research specification for component selection and coordinate with suppliers to ensure specifications are met. Support statement of work creation and bids for new customer requests. Assist service center personnel in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build/modification and test issues and create deviation drawings as required. Work in a team environment.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare all necessary documents to support the interior and structural modification of aircraft such as detail, assembly, and installation drawings, specification documents, and substantiation reports.Coordinate with outside suppliers, internal departments, and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, and certification of new interior components to support floorplan modifications.Research specifications for component selection and coordinate with suppliers to ensure specifications are met.Support statement of work creation and bids for new customer requests.Assist service center personnel in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build/modification and test issues and create deviation drawings as required.Work in a team environment.Essential SkillsProficiency in creating mechanical drawings using AutoCAD or CATIA (preferred).Working knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams and wire routing.Working knowledge of integration of ECS systems, waste and potable water systems, and other commodities associated with interior installations.Proficiency with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple initiatives effectively.Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with two (2) years of relevant experience, or a minimum of eight (8) years of practical mechanical design experience in aviation.Working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA).Organized individual able to work effectively with a variety of cross-functional individuals, departments, and organizations.Effective communication of design intent and design resolution.Work Environment
M-F 8-5 in an engineering office setting.

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $115.00
