**Description** SAIC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Hanahan, SC. The Mechanical Engineer will: + Develop static and dynamic design and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages. + Review performance specifications and continuously track all metrics to ensure prototype designs and systems are in accordance with the customer's needs and requirements. + Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. + Utilizes Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Software to ensure designs meet all anticipated load and vibration profiles. + Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. + Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation. Review and approve all drafting documentation. **Qualifications** **Required Education and Experience:** + Bachelor's Degree and Five (5) or more years of experience. + Must have design experience. + Must have Solidworks experience. + Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. **Preferred Qualification:** + CREO & ANSYS experience + Windchill experience SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
