Your unique contribution
The Engineer is primarily responsible for providing the maintenance and operational support for the plant, machinery and equipment associated with Winery Operations located at Marlborough Winery, in accordance with maintenance program objectives as directed by the Engineering Supervisor/Manager.

Plant and equipment preventative maintenance, new plant installation
Fabricating stainless steel/carbon steel items.
Ensuring that engineering works are undertaken in compliance with statutory, safety, hygiene and regulatory requirements and company standards.
Actively involved in company health and safety improvement programs.
Working in confined spaces including sumps and wine tanks.
Work to a high standard to ensure plant efficiency and machine uptime is maintained.
Working at heights including tank tops, roofs etc using approved fall arrest or fall restraint techniques.

Mechanical trade qualification
Valid NZ Driver’s License
Physically capable of carrying out normal engineering tasks including lifting, twisting, working at heights, confined space including entering tanks
Highly self-motivated
Works effectively without supervision
Strong communication skills
Ability to build strong working relationships
Confined Space Training - desirable
Ability to work at heights
