Job Description

Join our HVAC Engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer and contribute to the development of cutting-edge chiller systems that will define the future of sustainable cooling solutions. The Mechanical Engineer is a key member of our Chiller Engineered to Order (ETO) product design and development team dedicated to developing advanced cooling solutions, particularly for data center customers. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in thermal systems to design, analyze, and optimize chiller systems for maximum efficiency, reliability, and performance. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that our chiller products meet and exceed customer expectations while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

ResponsibilitiesConduct thermal analysis and simulations to evaluate system performance under various operating conditions and environments.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and manufacturing, to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.Support the design and development of chiller systems, including component selection, system integration, and performance optimization.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.Support product testing and validation activities, analyze test results, and implement design improvements.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in thermal systems engineering.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in engineering – mechanical or aerospace.5+ years of experience in new product development or design.Expertise in thermal analysis (Chillers, HVAC, Heat exchange, etc.).Experience with Engineering to Order (ETO) systems with 3000+ parts/BOMs/sub-assemblies.Proficiency in thermodynamic cycle analysis and modeling using handwritten codes or commercially available software.Problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality results on schedule.Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.Team player with a collaborative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster’s degree in mechanical engineering or thermal engineering.Experience with product development processes, from concept design to production release.Some experience in quoting and costing is nice to have.Work Environment

The role is based on a global platform for global chillers, with engineering, materials, design, and manufacturing all onsite. You will work with various teams including engineering, design, supply chain, scheduling, material planners, quality, and manufacturing. Additionally, you will interact with customers and vendors. This high-profile role involves handling special orders for notable clients and may include special assignments. The company is moving to SAP, and many special orders are shipped globally, including to the Middle East, US, and Canada.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
