We are hiring for 2 exciting entry-level Engineering roles with a local Tier-One Utility! As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing general Engineering Support for Capital Projects related to Oil and Natural Gas Facilities. You will develop and maintain Structural Systems, Controls, and other Engineering Specifications, Procedures, and Directives. Additionally, you will design Materials, Structures, and Systems while considering the limitations imposed by practicality, regulation, safety, and cost. This is an excellent opportunity for Engineers with minimal experience and a can-do attitude to learn competitive skills in a stable industry, while supporting complex and interesting projects.

ResponsibilitiesProvide general engineering support for capital projects related to oil and natural gas facilities.Develop and maintain structural systems, controls, and other engineering specifications, procedures, and directives.Design materials, structures, and systems considering practicality, regulation, safety, and cost.Participate in pre-production meetings for pipe, fittings, flanges, valves, and pressure vessels.Participate in materials testing programs and research and development.Collaborate with other junior engineers on routine and recurring projects.Provide technical guidance to technicians and support to other professionals.Job RequirementsBachelor of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited College or UniversityInterest in supporting Oil & Gas Capital Projects and establishing a career in the Utility industryPreference for PHMSA knowledge or experience (not required)Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work environment, with three days per week in the office. Candidates must be open to fully-onsite work, as the company continues to evaluate their Return-to-Office requirements based on business needs. This position could return to a full-time in-office role in the future.

MiscellaneousThis position would be supporting the largest Natural Gas Distribution company in Indiana, serving 900,000 customers across the Northern third of Indiana. They have a stable book of business and a strong presence in the Northern Indiana community.Training will be provided as-needed, which will allow candidates to develop marketable Engineering and Capital Project Support skills. This is an excellent foot-in-the-door to a long-term career with a competitive and well-known organization. Relocation and Sponsorship cannot be provided for this role. Available for immediate hire. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
