Position Overview International has an exciting opportunity in Lisle for a Mechanical Engineer! The Mechanical Engineer will work under the supervision of the more experienced team members and the Chassis Engineering Manager. The Mechanical Engineer will provide support for Diesel and EV bus on the manufacturing floor helping to identify design iterations and developing improvements to aid in increasing manufacturing capability and throughput while being mindful of cost impacts. They will develop interim and permanent corrective actions for issues found in the production environment that need updated or corrected. They will also aid in Product Development plant trials to aid design integration into the production process. Responsibilities Provide technical support and information to production team to ensure product integrity Work with the production and manufacturing teams to identify corrective actions for issues found Work to increase manufacturing capability, lower costs, and reduce complexity Conduct plant trials to validate design changes integrate into the production process Release design changes to correct identified issues Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science OR Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
