SSOE is looking for a Junior Level Mechanical Process Engineering professional. The Engineer will interface directly with our Clients and provide ongoing project support. They will also be responsible for performing a variety of routine engineering assignments on projects.

Responsibilities

A Typical Day Might Include:

Collaboration, accountability, and top-notch training are building blocks we use to set you up for success. We are seeking an enthusiastic Process Engineer to join our team. An ideal candidate will be a proven self-starter that demonstrates strong leadership and comprehension skills. Using sound engineering practices, this role will support clients in the chemical industry, and will be responsible for additional results and solutions such as:

Leading engineering studies, write reports, perform chemical process simulations, and develop and complete engineering calculations.Perform or assist with the development of PFDs and P&IDs, process calculations, equipment specifications, and procurement.Provide engineering oversite and checking of process deliverables. Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering and design teams to complete necessary project tasks.Assist in the creation of bid packages.Perform field work to support the above responsibilities. Qualifications

Qualifications You’ll Need on Day One:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice.8+ years of working experience required.Leadership experience and the ability to lead others in the department is required.Exposure to chemical plants and other related industrial settings strongly preferred.Experience with a chemical simulation program, such as ChemCAD or Aspen. Experience using Pipe Flo or AFT Fathom a plus.Ability to work in a client-facing role while partnering with contractors and vendors.Candidate must hold Professional Engineering license or registration tracked.Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, 401K, PTO & paid holidays.
