Summary – basic function of the role We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. This role focuses on custom and special product development in mechanics and hydraulics, overseeing projects from initial requirements to final delivery. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary innovation team to drive engineering projects and ensure high-quality solutions. Job Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with Chief Engineers and department leaders (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical-Software) to ensure project delivery aligns with company standards and timelines. Manage the quotation and order process, including design, calculations, drawings, BOMs, DFMEA, ECN, and technical documentation. Coordinate with suppliers for cost estimation before transitioning projects to the supply chain. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless information transfer and project execution. Develop technical solutions based on customer specifications, facilitating discussions with sales and clients. Support production, assembly, testing, and compliance procedures, assisting sales with on-site tests when required. Prepare manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation in line with company processes (ECO, Windchill, etc.). Conduct regular project reviews, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions. Design and assess testing procedures in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Contribute to New Product Development (NPD) initiatives. Uphold HSSEQ regulations, actively promoting safety and compliance throughout the organization. Represent the company professionally, ensuring adherence to policies, processes, and health & safety standards. Required Skills & Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with experience in cylinders, bolt tensioners, mechanical systems, sealing processes, tribology, hydraulic components, or high-pressure hydraulic applications. Proficiency in AutoCAD, FEA (Ansys, Mechanical, Catia), CREO & CREO SIMULATE, or SolidWorks. Fluent in English (written & spoken). Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative technical solutions in mechanical and hydraulic engineering.
