Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and hydronic distribution systems, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls. The ideal candidate will perform system design calculations, analyze mechanical system options using industry-standard engineering and energy modeling software, and prepare detailed design documents. Additionally, this role requires coordination with architects and engineers from other disciplines and involvement in mission-critical and healthcare projects.

ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and hydronic distribution systems, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls.Perform system design calculations and analyze mechanical system options using industry-standard engineering and energy modeling software.Ensure knowledge and application of all relevant building codes and standards.Prepare design documents, including basis of design reports, drawings (Revit), and specifications.Review design deliverables for technical accuracy and presentation quality.Coordinate work with architects and engineers from other disciplines.Work on mission-critical projects and healthcare projects.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering7+ years of experience as an HVAC Design EngineerProficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEPExperience working on commercial, industrial, and healthcare projectsAdditional Skills & QualificationsSelf-motivated and enjoys collaborative problem solvingGood planning, organizational, and communication skillsEIT/PE certificationWork Environment

This position is within an A/E firm with offices in NYC and PA. The role involves working on a variety of project types, providing opportunities for professional growth and development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
