Job Descriptions: Kratos-SRE is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support various vehicle developments for the MACH-TB 2.0 Program. The Mechanical Engineer will apply appropriate engineering disciplines to support and oversee design, development, implementation, and testing of mechanical systems, subsystems, and components while also supporting reviews and documentation necessary for internal and external customers. This documentation can include, but is not limited to specifications, drawing input, test plans, test procedures, test reports, analysis reports, and design reviews. The selected candidate will support test campaigns and analyze the test setup against flight requirements. JOB LOCATIONS + Huntsville, AL + Crane, IN JOB FUNCTIONS: + Design, analyze, and review launch vehicle components and structures given specified vehicle loads. + Apply various types of mechanical engineering disciplines in support of design, development, implementation, and testing of mechanical structures. + Prepare appropriate documentation for reviews or other purposes, including but not limited to specifications, drawing input, test plans & procedures, test and analysis reports, and design reviews. + Support test programs and analyze the test setup against flight requirements. + Generate and review engineering drawings and flight vehicle renderings of mission specific configurations for use in engineering reports and presentations. + Analyze and review launch vehicle components and structures using FEA methods. + Determine margins of safety for launch vehicle components and structures for specified Factors of Safety. + Generate test plans and test reports for structural load and deployment testing of flight structures, separation systems and fin structures. + Support mechanical testing of flight vehicle structures and mechanisms. Required Experience: Required Experience: + Experience in structural analysis using FEA, heat transfer, and hand calculations. + Must be versatile with CAD. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance + US Citizenship is required Preferred Experience: + Experience with the design & analysis and testing of aerospace structures.
