Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design and engineering, with a strong proficiency in SolidWorks. This role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical devices and systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test mechanical devices, including industrial machines and product handling systems.Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.Perform engineering calculations for components in shear, bending, and torsion.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project engineers, to develop concepts and solve design issues.Develop and present designs for approval, ensuring they meet safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability standards.Identify deficiencies in mechanical processes and develop improvements.Design and develop prototypes, and manage all phases of projects from initiation to completion.Prepare and release engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and maintenance instructions.Conduct tests to validate designs and ensure they meet performance requirements.Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes and products in the field.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proficiency in SolidWorks and other mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor).Hands-on experience with computer-aided tools and familiarity with 2D & 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools.Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools and mathematical computing.Strong technical writing skills and the ability to communicate technical knowledge clearly.Creative thinking, innovation, and advanced problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Preferred Skills:
Experience in designing heavy-duty conveyors or similar industrial equipment.Familiarity with sheet metal design and laser cutting processes.Knowledge of industry standards and specifications, including GD&T and tolerance stack analysis.Experience with project management and continuous improvement initiatives.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
