Lockheed Martin Space in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Summer 2025 Mechanical Engineering (Design Integration) Intern. In this role, you will work with multidisciplinary engineers focused on delivering world-class Mechanical Satellite Design. You will be responsible for the design solutions that support the organization. As an intern, you will work with a diverse workforce responsible for the development, design, fabrication, testing, and delivery of satellite products. The successful candidate will have an understanding and familiarity with mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials, and analysis as well as engineering CAD tools (Creo, Solidworks, etc.) Must be a US Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:

- Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree from
an accredited college in a related discipline Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace engineering
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering
fundamentals including structures, mechanisms,
materials, and analysis.
- Familiarity with engineering CAD tools (Creo,
Solidworks, etc.).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.

- Candidate must have good oral, written, and
presentation communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and federal
regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS
standards applicable to mechanical and
structural systems.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning &
Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.
- Familiarity with engineering analysis tools
(NASTRAN, ANSYS, etc.)
- Familiarity with satellite vehicle layouts (ie. Cubesats, etc)

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $20,904 - $61,672. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
