Position: Mechanical Engineer Job Location: Bohemia, NY Expire Date: Description: PWGC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with HVAC experience to support the design and management of geothermal projects and environmental systems. PWGC will be looking for a candidate that can work with and lead design professionals, consulting principals, and clients to develop engineering drawings, design documents, and specifications. The ideal candidate will assist in mechanical design, energy modeling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver energy-efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities: + Geothermal Project Support : Assist in the design of geothermal piping systems, heat exchange processes, and energy modeling. + Energy Modeling : Utilize software like Trane Trace and Carrier HAP to optimize geothermal energy systems. + Environmental Systems Design : Assist in designing soil vapor mitigation and sewer systems. + Collaboration : Work with architects, consultants, and clients to ensure integrated designs. + Project Management : Participate in client meetings, develop technical reports, and assist in commissioning processes. Qualifications: + Education : Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. + Experience : 4-10 years in geothermal system design, energy modeling, and environmental systems engineering. + Skills : Proficiency in energy modeling software, HVAC piping system design, and strong communication skills. + Certifications : PE Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 DOE Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
