Compensation: Salary Range:
Mechanical Engineering I: $87,701- $110,444
Mechanical Engineering II: $104,266 - $125,964
Mechanical Engineering Ill: $116,636 - $137,501
Responsibilities :
Facilities Operations is seeking a candidate to responsible for developing specifications, scopes, project profiles, designs, estimates, providing technical field support and technical reports for the Division of Facilities. This includes but not limited to the following
+ Responsibilities will include preparation, review and comment on contract documents, coordinate and liaising with DOS, MTA C&D, internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of project management (RFI’s, AWO’s, inspections, testing, submittals, O&M manuals, training, warranty claims, invoices etc.)
+ Review drawings, project documentation and monitor project status.
+ Identify project issues and risks and ensure timely resolution and mitigation. Recommend solutions to management for the resolution of critical issues.
+ Work on projects to support Division and/or unit data analysis request.
+ Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the implementation of the design and construction of In-House projects of moderate size and complexity.
+ Assist in developing report and dashboards using Power BI or other reporting tools.
Education and Experience:
A valid New York State Professional Engineer’s License and four years of full‐time experience in mechanical engineering. A master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college will be accepted as equivalent to one year of the full‐time experience in mechanical engineering.
Special Note:
In addition to above qualification requirements, to be eligible for placement in Assignment Levels II and III, individuals must have at least one year within the last three years of experience as a major contributor or a project leader on a complex project requiring additional and specific expertise in the disciplines needed to design or construct the project.

+ Strong understanding of engineering systems.
+ Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and other data visualization tools (Microsoft Power BI/Tableau).
Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
