Join Agilent as a Mechanical Engineer where you will optimize production processes, enhance efficiency, and drive continuous improvement. This role involves designing systems, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Optimization & Quality Assurance
Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Design equipment layouts, workflows, and workstations to maximize productivity and reduce waste.
Identify and resolve production defects through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Collaborate with quality teams to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
Project Management & Documentation
Lead cross-functional projects, developing timelines and budgets to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery.
Maintain detailed documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and SOPs.
Provide reports on production performance metrics such as First Pass Yield and Nonconforming Material.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
Work with R&D and design teams to transition new products into production.
Develop manufacturing plans, processes, and tools for NPI.
Release and maintain manufacturing documentation to support product launches.
Tooling & Equipment Management
Identify, procure, and implement new tools, equipment, and technology to improve manufacturing processes.
Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliability.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role.
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
Experience with MES and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, sheet metal, injection molding, assembly).
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, MATLAB).
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
Strong communication and teamwork skills for both in-person and remote collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Preferred:
Experience in regulatory compliance (ISO 13485) within a manufacturing environment.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
