Join us as a Mechanical Engineer to be part of this success. YOUR ROLE As an entry mechanical engineer, you will experience a wide spectrum of engineering project design opportunities. The Mechanical Engineer interprets the architectural design of a building and will design the heating, cooling, and plumbing systems to integrate and support that project design. These responsibilities include: + Interpret the architectural design plans and research appropriate HVAC and plumbing systems to fit the project's scope. + Design MEP building systems related to heating, cooling, and plumbing systems to integrate and support the architectural building plan + Apply thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and structural analysis principles within design work. + Understand different engineering disciplines within the project and how the ME piece will/can impact different design elements. + Leverage design software to draft plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. + Incorporate the appropriate equipment to support the building's HVAC and plumbing needs. + Apply principles like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and structural analysis within design work. + Creatively find ways to design projects in challenging spaces. “Our supportive environment empowers employee-owners to grow their skills, tackle challenging projects, pursue their goals, and advance their careers professionally and financially. It is a place to thrive.”-Scott Murphy, President/CEO YOUR STRENGTHS + Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar engineering field + 0-3+ years’ MEP experience with HVAC & plumbing design in a range of various building applications + Engineer-In-Training (EIT) license preferred or willing to obtain soon after hire + Familiar with design software such as REVIT/BIM + Basic knowledge of building systems Morrison-Maierle is not accepting 3rd party agency solicitation requests .
