Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead a technology study focused on optimizing the design of our battery packs. The main objective is to improve product design to enable better automation, streamline manufacturing processes and improve efficiency and quality. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions that will shape the future of PT battery production.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement Simultaneous Engineering (SE) methodologies to integrate product design and manufacturing processes, ensuring manufacturability and accelerating time-to-market.
- Conduct Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations for both product and process development to predict and enhance performance, reduce design iterations, and ensure robust manufacturing solutions.
- Develop innovative design solutions that meet the challenges of automation while maintaining product integrity and performance. 
- Create detailed design proposals, including sketches, 3D models and simulations to illustrate design improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and resolve design, simulation, and production challenges early in the development cycle.
- Evaluate the feasibility, cost implications and potential impact of proposed design changes on manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably in the power tool / battery industry or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in CAD/CREO software and design/simulation tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with a solid foundation in engineering principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Innovative thinker with a passion for technology and design optimization.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
