Mechanical Engineer   Will perform the role of both lead and support Mechanical Design Engineer on several different modification projects.   The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for generating design change packages, controlling scope, meeting engineering schedule milestones, and providing the primary contact to other plant organizations including Systems Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, etc.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Mechanical Engineering degree Previous experience originating design change packages in the nuclear power industry Expertise with pumps, valves, and hydraulic calculations Ability to develop and review test acceptance criteria and corresponding post-modification tests

 

Desired Qualifications:

Professional Engineering license Oconee-specific experience performing calculations and generating mechanical engineering design change packages Current or previous qualification as an Oconee Qualified Reviewed Previous experience originated 10CFR50.59 screens/evaluations

Pay rate $55.00/hr
