Job Description:\n

Semper Valens Solutions is looking for a Mechanical Engineer\/Technical Drawing Technician. The successful CAD Drafting Engineer will provide onsite and remote support for multiple Force Protection System (FPS) Family of Systems (FOS) to the IBD-SS program. Responsibilities:\n\nPerform Solidworks modeling and drafting with knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning &
Tolerancing (GD&T)\nDemonstrate a good understanding of engineering processes with a continuous process improvement mindset.\nAssist with all engineering BOM Development and maintenance.\nMaintain and create technical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and 2D and 3D digital models of
mechanical equipment designs, using measurements and specifications all in Solidworks.\nVerify the accuracy of existing drawings, calculations, and engineering change requests (ECR).\nUpdate existing drawings from approved ECR's using Solidworks.\nEstablish drawings in appropriate indenture level within the PDM tool.\nCoordinate directly with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements, verify design
details, and recommend modifications as needed according to company standards and best practices.\nAnnotate and verify all numerical designations and specifications in technical drawings and schematics,
using both CAD programs and manual calculations when necessary.\nProvide support to engineering team as needed by creating technical drawings and digital models within
deadlines and utilizing multiple methods to ensure deliverables include all relevant design details.\nAssist in ongoing project to standardize and unify design document standards by participating in meetings
and preparing presentation materials as necessary.\nParticipate in Configuration Control and Engineering Review boards.\n\n

Required Education\/Experience:\n\nAA\/AS required (additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)\nMust have 4 years of relevant work experience.\nProficient in SolidWorks with at least 3 years of hands-on experience\nShould be familiar with the CCR-ECP process\nProven ability to convert drawings from auto CAD to Solidworks\nExperience with mechanical drawing from the system level\n\n

Desired\/Preferred Certifications:\n\nCertified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA)\nCertified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP)\n\n

Required Clearance:\n\nDoD Secret Clearance required based on Tier III investigation.\n\n
