The Opportunity:
CACI's Mastodon Design team is seeking a talented student for a Mechanical Engineering co-op opportunity during the summer of 2025. This will be a 100% on-site position in the Rochester, NY office. The co-op will be assisting the mechanical engineering department with a variety of tasks ranging from designing and fabricating test fixtures, updating/remodeling parts and assemblies in SolidWorks, and hands on work involving building prototypes designs. During this co-op you will gain exposure to a fast-paced engineering environment which includes creating a detailed understanding of Mastodon Design's products.


Responsibilities:

Aiding in remodeling legacy Creo files in SolidWorksAiding in recreating/generating drawings for legacy filesWorking with other engineering disciplines to create test fixturesMay include designing concepts for small products/accessoriesHands-on work building and assembling prototype designs



Qualifications:

Required: 

Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fieldMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureExperience with CAD modeling software: SolidWorksExperience with creating mechanical drawings



Desired:

Experience with CAD modeling software: CreoKnowledgeable with 3D printing and how to design for FDM printers

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$36,300-$72,600
