ResponsibilitiesWork within a cross-functional team to achieve agreed deliverables, from product concept to final certification and launch, within set timelines.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing mechanical designs, using CAD modelling/simulation tools.Ensure designs meet and comply with all relevant quality and regulatory standards.Development and execution of verification and validation test plans for new product projects.Support continuous improvement projects across the Business.Essential CriteriaCandidates should either have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or be currently pursuing one (Mechatronics and Aeronautical also considered).Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.CAD experience - Solidworks / AutoCAD with experience of creating detailed drawings, BOMs and specifications.‘Hands on’ approach to design & testing (ability to assemble and modify prototypes etc.).Competency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment or independently on multiple projects with strict completion deadlines.Desired CriteriaPrevious industrial work experience.Experience of simulation tools (e.g. Ansys, Solidworks simulation).Experience using FMEA, RCA, 8D tools.Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).This is an exciting opportunity to join the Monitoring and Diagnostics team, based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
