Job Description Summary

• Mechanical Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures, for a GMP facility. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned. Specific assignments and project work vary. As an engineering intern you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the implementation and maintenance of industrial process systems.

Essential Functions

Operating and maintaining manufacturing and utility systems in compliance with US and global regulationsUpdating Engineering Drawings as neededFinding modern day solutions for aging/obsolete equipmentAssist in the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and assembliesConduct research and analysis to support engineering projectsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical problems and optimize designsParticipate in testing and validation activitiesGain exposure to industry-standard tools and softwareAdditionally, plant interns collaborate with multidisciplinary projects teams consisting of process engineers, skilled craftspeople, utility operators, contractors, design firms, and equipment suppliers

Minimum Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills:

Currently attending a BS/MS Mechanical Engineering programExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to pass pre-employment screening which will include a limited background check and screen for illegal substance use
