About the job:
As a Mechanical Fitter at Kent, you will play a crucial role in in the assembly and installation of mechanical systems and equipment including: Compressors, Pumps, Piping, Valves, Heat Exchangers and Pressure Equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, precision, and dedication to quality workmanship.
Your responsibilities:Assemble and disassemble mechanical components and machinery following technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints.Conduct quality checks and inspections to verify the accuracy and precision of assembled components, making necessary adjustments when needed.Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.Ability to mark out and measure accurately.Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers.Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition.Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines.Keep detailed records of work performed: including Flange Management Tags, Test packs and Workpacks.Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while working with potentially hazardous materials and equipment.Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
