Downer’s Energy & Utilities business has opportunities for Mechanical Fitters to join the operations and maintenance services team at Kooragang Bulk Facilities located in Newcastle, NSW. Kooragang Island produces essential products for industries like mining and agriculture. You will provide your expertise servicing and maintaining the fixed plant equipment such as Crushers, vacuum unloaders, conveyers and silo equipment etc ensuring that work is completed safely, effectively and to the required standard.

 

ABOUT YOU 

Site Proficient: Hold an Australian recognised trade certificate with experience working within a within a heavy industry environment with Hydraulics and Pneumatics preferred but not essential Technically Proficient: Experienced in the safe use of hand tools and equipment required to perform tasks Team Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills and a commitment to safety Site Qualifications: Hold full working rights in Australia, White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space (within 2 years validity)
