This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and working remote from home.
Under the direction of the Mechanical HVAC Project Lead, this position will offer you the opportunity to work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams in developing mechanical HVAC duct layout, HVAC support design, and HVAC equipment layout drawings in a 3-D modelUtilize Hexagon’s SmartPlant S3D or Bentley Open Buildings Designer modeling software and generate mechanical HVAC design deliverables, BOMs, and commodity listsUnderstand and interpret HVAC flow diagrams, and develop and create physical design consistent with the engineering requirements and industry standardsAct as the mechanical HVAC design team lead in the coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of an integrated mechanical design modelResolve clashes and discrepancies in the 3D model and report status Coordinate and provide guidance to other designers and project team members to ensure a complete and timely designIndependently plan and execute design of mechanical HVAC deliverablesProvide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced drafters and designers QualificationsWe do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
Essential skills and experience:
Experience with SmartPlant S3D modeling software including the following:Understanding of the integration aspects of flow diagrams and 3D HVAC layoutClash detection resolutionDiscrepancy checks between deliverablesInterface with SmartPlant Administrators in the development of mechanical deliverable templates and catalogsDrawing Presentation Rules Set UpPlant model data managementMinimum three years of detailed design experience in the development of mechanical plant design drawings; HVAC duct layout and routing, HVAC supports and HVAC equipment layout Proficiency with design software tools in executing 3D plant layout modelsExperience in the review of project deliverables and drawing requirementsExperience in the review of vendor drawings and interface pointsAbility to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the plant design process.Valued but not required experience:
Autodesk RevitProficiency with MicroStation and AutoCADMicrosoft Office tools
