Support capital projects and engineering initiatives within the WPS organization Help maintain HVAC systems, chillers, compressed air, and other facility systems Support preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment and coordinate with local union trades and 3rd party contractors as needed Prepare and submit summary reports of equipment conditions with recommendations for improvement Comply with safety procedures, building and state code requirements Promote continuous improvement of operational, safety and environmental performance Create, audit, revise process documentation and procedures for HVAC and facility equipment Provide occasional after-hours technical support for on call or weekend coverageTravel Requirements Minimal, travel limited to immediate area around Corning, NY Hours of work: standard 40 hours work week, plus occasional weekend project work Support the Maintenance Department’s on-call coverage of (1) week per (2) month period Experiences/Education - Required AAS degree in Mechanical HVAC Technology 2-10 years HVAC experience required Building control system operation experience HVAC equipment experience (Operation, Troubleshooting, Maintenance, Design) Working knowledge of facility equipment and building control systems Sizing of ductwork and piping distribution systems Excellent hands-on troubleshooting ability, experience & skills Basic AutoCAD skills Basic MS Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desired Skills & Soft Skills Experience in installation, system design, or maintenance of building infrastructure equipment Working knowledge of industrial codes, Masterspec standards and ASHRAE Experience working in a manufacturing environment Process Control and Discipline knowledge and application experience, SPC XL Process documentation writing; SOP’s, machine specs, O&M’s Performance Excellence, Manufacturing Excellence, 6 Sigma, KT, ISO Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude Results and customer oriented Strong commitment and work ethic

The range for this position is $55,299.00 - $76,037.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
