Mechanical Inspector

Eaton’s IS AER FED is currently seeking a Mechanical Inspector. This position is based out of our Glenolden, PA facility. 

 

Core hours for this position are 7am-3:30pm.

 

The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Performs verification inspection of Eaton’s suppliers detailed components and verification inspection of Eaton’s product for compliance to customer’s requirements while assistiing customer source inspectors as required.
 

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use precision measurement equipmentThorough knowledge of measurement systems, techniques including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Familiarity with the requirements of ISO9001 and AS9100Ability to interact with co-workers and customer representativePerform verification inspection of Eaton’s supplier’s detailed componentsPerforms verification inspection of Eaton’s product for compliance to customer’s requirementsAssist customer source inspectors as requiredCoordinate Measurement Machine use, programming ability is preferred, but not requiredSurface plate lay-outBasic computer skillsQualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

•    High School diploma/GED from accredited institution
•    Minimum of two (2) years experience in manufacturing and/or military environment
•    Minimum of two (2) years experience reading and interpreting blueprints
•    Ability to use precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, comparator, thread gauge, etc.
•    Reside within 50 miles of location (no relocation)
•    US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee
•    This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to random testing under our Drug and Alcohol Abatement program

Skills:

•    Technical Degree
•    Ability to read and interpret blueprints
•    Thorough knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
•    Inspection equipment programming
•    Ability to operate CMM
 

Skills: Needs to work well under pressureFlexibility to work overtime when required
