Mechanical Lead- Finland 

To €130,000 DOE + €13,200 Net Living Allowance + Package 

Our client, a leading delivery partner specialising in Data Centre Solutions with expertise spanning the entire lifecycle of data centre projects, is actively looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Lead. As Mechanical Lead you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems bringing expertise in HVAC, piping, and building services, with a strong focus on high-performance design, energy efficiency, and quality standards.  

Key Responsibilities and Requirements: 

Lead the design, development, and review of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and utility services for both new builds and retrofits. 

Conduct technical reviews and calculations, ensuring duct and pipe sizing, pressure drops, and load requirements are accurate and meet project specifications. 

Collaborate with contract managers, project managers, and other engineering leads to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly within project scopes. 

Oversee quality assurance and control for mechanical designs, from concept through construction, commissioning, and client handover. 

Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, standards, health and safety, and industry best practices. 

Participate in project planning, budget allocation, and resource management to achieve project milestones efficiently. 

Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and designers, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and results. 

Act as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, communicating technical information and project progress effectively. 

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 

Significant experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on Data Centre MEP projects. 

Strong knowledge of procurement, scheduling, programming, and sequencing. 

Strong proficiency in mechanical design software and tools. 

Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
