Title:  Mechanical Maintenance Activity Leader
Location: Charleston, TN

Salary: $82,920 – $125,040
Schedule: 9/80 is available

Focus: This role will provide supervises mechanical maintenance or skilled employees to perform service functions within established timing, safety, quality and cost standards.  Direct reports may have more than one distinct craft.  Typically requires a high level of technical knowledge to assist direct reports with troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Mechanical Maintenance Activity Leader Essential Job Functions:

Supervises maintenance activities to ensure that disruption to production is minimized Monitors quality of maintenance work. Monitors working practices and adherence to safety procedures to ensure safety of employees working in the area. Manages and motivates direct reports; reviews, assesses and provides direct and immediate performance feedback as needed; develops and builds employee skills, supports their professional development and enables employees to optimize their contribution to the department. Provides technical advice to project engineers in the development of capital projects and participates in project safety reviews.


Mechanical Maintenance Activity Leader Position Requirements:

Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements: Bachelor’s Degree* in Engineering or other Technical field and 2+ years related full-time work experience; OR High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years full-time work experience in a relevant manufacturing role Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical equipment. Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills. Positive interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with multiple departments/teams to trouble-shoot and problem solve. Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance tools such as NDT methods, UT, Infrared, Eddy Current, Vibration Analysis, Laser Alignment, Ultrasonic, PdMA, etc. preferred. CMMS/SAP PM module experience preferred. Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and possess a valid US driver's license. Prior Olin experience in a related role preferred.
