Mechanical Maintenance - Level III
**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented **Mechanical Maintenance - Level III** to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Jamestown, NY. **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + **Ensuring Equipment Availability** : By troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems, you'll keep equipment available and capable, ensuring smooth production processes. + **Promoting Safety** : Learning and adhering to safety protocols, especially when working with electricity and other energy sources, will help maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. + **Reporting and Correcting Hazards** : By promptly reporting any major injury hazards and correcting hazards within your control, you'll contribute to a safer workplace. + **Maintaining High Quality Standards** : Applying high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship, performing quality inspections, and following process documentation will ensure the production of high-quality products. + **Supporting Preventive Maintenance** : Providing feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system and performing preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities will help reduce equipment downtime and improve reliability. + **Coaching and Mentoring** : Instructing and coaching less experienced team members will enhance their skills and contribute to a more knowledgeable and capable team. + **Improving Processes** : Actively participating in continuous improvement activities and solving problems will help optimize manufacturing processes and reduce constraints. + **Effective Communication and Teamwork** : Communicating effectively with your team and support teams and participating in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams, will foster collaboration and drive improvements in quality, safety, and processes. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + **Collaborate Effectively** : Build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with your team and other departments to achieve shared objectives. This helps meet the function's needs and drives continuous improvement. **Education/Experience:** High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience. **QUALIFICATIONS** **For this role, prior experience in the JEP Test and Final Parts Mounting Area is a requirement.** **Applicants must meet the following skills/knowledge:** + Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding + Proficient with Vertical Mills and Lathes + In-depth knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems + Experience with HVAC systems, specifically troubleshooting Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC Systems, Fanuc Robotics, and experience with Automated Guided Vehicle Systems are beneficial, but not a requirement **Applicants must meet one of the following education/training requirements:** + Possess a NYS Journeyman Card, or have completed 6400 hrs. of a NYS Journeyman Apprenticeship program + Have 5-7 years relevant experience in the Industrial Machine Repair Field **Compensation:** Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range.
