Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician

ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a broad range of mechanical equipment.Perform maintenance on cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment.Quickly learn the company's manufacturing equipment/systems and maintenance program.Troubleshoot and determine corrective actions to enhance production efficiencies without compromising quality.Follow all safety practices and rules to ensure equipment operates safely.Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency electrical maintenance on various electrical and electronic systems.Install piping, welding, rigging, and perform carpentry work and miscellaneous repairs on floors, ceilings, windows, doors, etc.Implement process improvements and methods to increase effectiveness and efficiencies.Use standard and specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to properly assess and troubleshoot issues.Maintain accurate records of projects including machine assembly, startup, and installation.Participate in daily meetings, prioritizing and reviewing the daily schedule of work.Operate forklifts, man lifts, cranes, etc.Provide assistance in operating functions/areas.Work in various plant areas/departments, environmental conditions (hot, cold, dirty, etc.), and perform work at various heights and within some confined spaces.Essential Skills2 Years of Industrial Maintenance experience.Strong troubleshooting skills.Proficiency in using standard and specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a highly industrial environment where steel manufacturing processes such as melting, hot rolling, and slitting are performed. The plant operates on a rotating shift format from Monday to Friday, with shifts changing every week. Working hours are typically 10-12 hours per day, with overtime available after 8 hours. The shifts are 1st Shift (6 AM start), 2nd Shift (2 PM start), and 3rd Shift (10 PM start), with additional shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $59072.00 - $110000.00/yr.

•\tInsurance:
o\tMedical, dental, and vision coverage.
o\t$0 coverage premiums – Employees will not see anything deducted from their paychecks for any of these 3 coverages.
o\tEmployees are only responsible for copays and deductibles.
\tCopays: Between $20-$50, depending on what it’s applied to.
\tDeductibles: $500 for Individual Coverage; $1,000 for Family Coverage.
o\tProvider: Blue Cross Blue Shield Highmark.
•\tRetirement:
o\tcontributes $3.15 to the employee’s 401K for every hour that they work (both standard and OT hours count).
