PURPOSE: This position is responsible for providing maintenance support to a manufacturing line at our Andersen Windows location in Locust Grove, GA. Primary focus will be on monitoring, controlling, and improving existing manufacturing processes, and to ensure customer and business needs are met. The ideal candidate for this position is an innovative thinker and has a passion for operational excellence.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Multi-skilled electrical mechanical technician with advanced competency troubleshooting and supporting production equipmentTrained on all electrical hazards and is an advocate for our electrical safety programsAdvanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with issues of intermediate complexity in advanced electrical/mechanical systems (PLC, Drives, Servo, HMI, CNC, etc.)Advanced knowledge of internal networks and MES equipment integrationUnderstands the National Electrical Code (NFPA 79) to enforce code that applies to all electrical installationsAdvanced usability of volt-ohm-millimeters (VOM), vacuum tube volt ohmmeters (VTVM), field effect transistor volt-ohm-millimeters (FETVOM) and digital multimeters to measure DC current, DC voltage, AC voltage and resistanceAdvanced understanding and demonstration of Drive Systems, Lineal Systems, Actuating and Clamping SystemsAdvanced understand of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, schematics, and the operation of all componentsAdvanced knowledge and use of hand tools and machine shop equipment, the proper use of all test equipment used to perform all Multi-trade repairs of production equipment as well as dust collection and material handling equipment (pallet lifts and fork trucks).Evaluate equipment for any repairs, enhancements, or upgrades and complete work as neededComplete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled, and document finished workMachine implementation including, rigging, leveling, facilities (air, hydraulics, dust collection and safety) along with testing and modifying as needed to prepare machine for productionFabrication and installation of all needed fixturing, guarding and any machine parts needed. This included one or more of the following: design, layout, sheet metal work, welding, machine shop work, carpentry and paintingRepair of pneumatic drills and screw guns, routers, saw motors and bearing assemblies for lineal slides and spindlesAssist in the deployment of TPM objectivesMulti-skilled technician providing focused competency maintenance support, mechanically proficient and demonstrated technical expertise in a specific specialized maintenance functionAbility to train fundamentals of metal fabrication; Welding, Manual Mill and Lathe, Sheet Metal FabricationUnderstand advanced and complex functions of production CNC machining equipment.Able to reengineer equipment for more efficiency and reliabilityDemonstrate technical expertise/knowledge and utilize effective root cause analysis methodsDirects and provides leadership/mentoring/coaching of other techniciansContinuing job-related education is requiredTechnical Expert, Technical Lead, Subject Matter Expert
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
2 Year degree or equivalent10 Years experience in related fieldsAbility to trouble shoot and resolve problems related to PLC and electromechanical aspects of manufacturing equipmentAbility to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems and analytical problem-solving skills.Ability to troubleshoot under pressure on all lines of production and be able to prioritize the repairsAbility to read prints including mechanical, fluid power, electrical, and building printsAbility to properly use testing equipment including (electrical, mechanical and fluid power)Be able to support production by yourself and be self-motivatedStrong Communication skills, time management, organizational and prioritization skillsPossess excellent analytical skills, data interpretationStrong knowledge of PLC ‘s and electrical principlesBroad knowledge of hydraulics and pneumaticsKnowledge of plumbing, machine piping, HVAC and central dust collectionKnowledge and use of hand, power, shop tools and equipment associated with the positionKnowledge of safety practices such as lockout/tagout and proper use of PPEBe able to work alone as well as in a team environmentBe familiar with Panel building and machine building practices and techniquesMulti-skilled technician satisfied by demonstrated technical expertise in advanced maintenance functionsAbility to manage vital maintenance functions to maximize corporate assets

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $34.80 - $43.51 hourly.
