Millwright
Help us set the standard for work as a Millwright. Your experience with machinery and equipment, along with solid workmanship and focus on continuous improvement, ensure the efficiency of facility operations. You’re no stranger to drawings, diagrams, building plans and blueprints, and you always put safety first.
What You'll Do
Install, Repair, and Maintain Equipment: Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of machinery and mechanical systems, including conveyor systems, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Lifting and Rigging: Safely lift, rig, and position heavy equipment using chain falls, lever hoists, and other rigging tools, adhering to strict safety protocols.Adhere to Standards & Procedures: Follow established schedules, technical codes, and industry procedures to ensure work is performed accurately and in compliance with safety regulations. Participate in routine safety audits and regulatory inspections.Facility Repairs & Technical Support: Perform general facility repairs and provide technical support to operations staff, assisting with equipment-related challenges and optimizing system functionality.Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections, assess equipment condition, and perform necessary checks to prevent breakdowns and ensure equipment longevity.Small-Part Fabrication: Fabricate small parts and components using a variety of shop tools, including plasma cutters, welding machines, ironworkers, shears, and brake presses, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems: Demonstrate strong understanding and troubleshooting abilities in pneumatic and hydraulic systems to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.Precision Measurement & Alignment: Use precision measurement tools and laser alignment equipment to ensure accurate alignment and calibration of machinery, optimizing operational efficiency.Lubrication: Perform Lubrication on equipment as required, including component greasing and oil changesTeam Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other trades (mechanical, electrical, etc.) and assist as needed to ensure seamless project execution and efficient team performance.What you bring to our team
Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certificate with an Interprovincial Red Seal certificationMinimum of three (3) years experience in an industrial setting or comparable service work in the industryDemonstrated knowledge of industrial machinery, including grain handling and cleaning systems, and a solid understanding of welding, rigging, and mobile equipment operationThe ability to read schematic drawings, equipment diagrams, building plans, and blueprintsWhat we offer
