Position Overview: The Moore's Electrical and Mechanical VDC\/OSC department offers comprehensive MEP fabrication and prefabrication services for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects across Virginia and North Carolina. As a Pipe Fabricator, you play a crucial role in the prefabrication process, specializing in the manufacturing and assembly of pipes for commercial and industrial applications. You will ensure that materials-such as carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, etc.-meet both design specifications and rigorous quality standards.\n

Responsibilities:\n\nRead and interpret basic drawings and spool sheets.\nPerform welds adhering to written welding procedures and qualifications. \nConstruct piping spools and branch connections while upholding quality control standards to meet applicable codes.\nMeasuring, Cutting, Grinding, welding, and maintaining tools and equipment.\nMaintains a safe work environment by following Moore's \"0 for Today\" safety standards and protocols\nTaking ownership of work area and tools utilizing lean methods and upholding shop standards.\nCollaborating effectively as part of a team while maintaining strong self-motivation.\n\n

Requirements:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n1-year GMAW experience preferred\nTrade school diploma or completed apprenticeship preferred \nGTAW experience is a plus\nProficient with metal fabrication tools including, but not limited to plasma cutter, grinder, welding machine, level, square, tape line, etc.\nExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills\nGreat personality, positive attitude, sense of humor, and a tremendous work ethic\nGood physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.\nValid driver's license and dependable transportation\n\n
