Mechanical Piping Designer

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for performing design duties on assigned projects involving process, service, and utility piping, supports, HVAC, equipment layout, and other mechanically related tasks. Assist project manager in developing bids, proposals, estimates, scopes of work, schedules, material lists, design concepts, design drawings, correspondence, scope change submittals, and other project documentation as per corporate guidelines. Conduct field work and technical research. Maintain project files and documentation. Certify the accuracy and completeness of all deliverable products and services in assigned areas of responsibility. Maintain scope, schedule, and budget in assigned areas of responsibility. Provide guidance and assistance to subordinate staff members on day-to-day matters.

Work Environment

80% of the time in the office, 20% of the time performing field visits. The office houses 100 employees and is projected to grow to 115. Most work is split between major industrial clients in Virginia, providing a very stable work environment. Business casual attire is expected. Standard work schedule from Monday to Friday.
