As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world. **Job Description** **Turner and Townsend**  is looking for a  **Mechanical Project Engineer  ** to support large-scale construction manufacturing projects that require exceptional talent. The product portfolio is expanding with never-built-before production lines, and requirements demand cell production volume at a scale which was once thought to be impossible to reach. Required commitment is that you bring in your passion for advancing energy sustainability, your desire to work on difficult problems pushing the limits, your willingness to value team success beyond your own, and your unwavering positive attitude towards sustained hard work. **Key activities:** + Manage day-to-day activities of construction phase including Mechanical & Plumbing trades. + Develop and manage a team to execute MEP works. + Coordinate all contractors’ activities and lead resolution of field construction problems. + Manage interface with actual construction teams to ensure project objectives being successfully delivered (e.g., schedule, quality). + Facilitate focus groups to resolve significant construction issues that have been escalated. + Report construction progress/risks to Construction Director. + Identify construction-related risks and develop mitigation plans. + Identify and track potential field change orders. + Identify potential claims or disputes. + Document all field activities. + Take responsibility for Mechanical & Plumbing set on site, focusing on the following: + Identifying safety issues and potential solutions  + Quality issues that could cause adverse impacts during the O&M Phase + Potential solutions and Environmental and Cultural Heritage issues and potential solutions + Community (including traffic management) issues and potential solutions + Create, together with the construction manager and other inspectors, methods to measure progress. + Coach and mentor counterparts and subordinates on excellence in the construction industry. + Other duties as directed by the Construction Director or Project Director. + SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable. **Qualifications** + BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. + Have at least 1-5 years of experience working for global leading companies in supervising and managing the construction of large industrial projects ($100m+ capex). + Advanced knowledge and proven delivery on Engineering for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing scopes. + Understanding of the potential implications of design changes/site instructions in relation to the key aspects identified above. + Excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English, and presentation skills are a must. + Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with challenging timelines, budget and goals. + Be capable of working in a close, multi-faceted team environment. + Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and willingness to continuously learn. + Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution. **Additional Information** **_*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs*_** _Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
