Our client is a leading multinational construction and engineering contractor, headquartered in the USA and operating across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East. With a global workforce of over 9,000 and an annual turnover exceeding €6 billion, they specialise in delivering high-tech projects across key sectors, including data centres, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, photovoltaics, battery plants, and specialty chemicals. They provide a full turnkey service, covering design, construction, and handover, encompassing civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) works, mechanical and electrical (MEP) systems, and commissioning.
The need now exists for an experienced and detail oriented Mechanical Quality Assurance Lead to ensure all mechanical systems and installations meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Assurance Management System specific to mechanical installations ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
Perform regular site inspections of mechanical installations including tests on mechanical systems, grounding, wiring, and equipment, to verify quality & functionality.
Ensure all mechanical construction activities comply with project specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure quality of work.
Maintain accurate and detailed records/documentations of all quality-related activities for quality reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
Identify potential mechanical quality risks and implement measures to address any quality-related risks.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Significant years of experience in quality assurance and quality control roles of mechanical systems in data centre and pharmaceutical projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, industry standards, and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
