Pay Rate
Training Rate - $36.92/hour Apprentice (1st 345 work days from start date at work location) - 90% of journeyman rate Apprentice (2nd 345 work days from start date at work location) - 95 % of journeyman rate Full Journeyman Rate (upon reporting to location) - $41.02/hourTraining
You will attend paid training, which could be out of town. CSX will pay for travel and lodging as required by collective bargaining agreement.
Selkirk, NY ONLY- This position shares a joint roster between the Mechanical, Facilities, and Signals Departments. Once hired and upon reporting to Selkirk, placement in a position will be determined by the union agreement seniority rule in which bids/awarded positions are based on seniority. When accepting an Electrician position, it’s important to understand that if you hold this position at Selkirk, you may hold a position in any of these three departments throughout your CSXT career:
Mechanical Electrician works in a Locomotive Shop. Facilities Electrician covers road territory and travels. Signals Electrician-Switch Heater covers road territory and travels.

Experience in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and/or Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) Three years combined sheet metal, fabrication, and/or pipefitting experiencePhysical Requirements
