Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Mechanical Solutions Specialist located in Columbus, OH. If you have a love of meeting people and providing excellent customer service coupled with an interest in supplying directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!
Responsibilities:Technical Outside Sales role focused on mechanical room systems (IE Commercial water Heating, Hydronic Heating and or Pump Systems).Work customarily and regularly outside of the office selling to our customers and using services such as field audit kits & scanning to develop analytics and present sales pitch & recommendations based on findingsDrive regularly within a defined area, including overnight travel as needed, to develop and maintain relationships with customers, key national accounts, and local contractors, and ensure their satisfaction with our products and services at all timesDevelop new customers with a focus on mechanical solutions business while applying traditional outside sales techniquesDevelop and maintain vendor relations with rep firms and manufacturersSupervise sales trends and product performance resultsDevelop pricing and quotations for replacement units, products, and services while aligning with brand strategy and maintaining market integrityContinually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the fieldTrain customers and associates on equipment and tools associated with water heating systemsFind opportunities to improve efficiency and life of equipment through domestic/Hydronic system auditsBudget projects for contractors during the pre-construction phaseProvide equipment technical support in a mechanical room and ability identify and locate related common itemsParticipates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to managementSupport Corporate programs, goals and initiatives of the companyPerforming other duties or functions as requested by managementHighly organized and able to multitask objectivesQualifications:Minimum of 5+years of sales experienceStrong mechanical proficiency required with a technical degree a plusCommercial Water Heating and or Hydronic system experience requiredUnderstanding of mechanical piping systems Polished sales presentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft OfficePeriodic overnight travel for training, industry meetings and customer centered events.Regular travel within Ohio required.Physical ability to conduct detailed job site visits, including using ladders, accessing roofs, accessing basements, and other locations where equipment is located.At Ferguson, we care for each other. $4,799.70 - $10,450.00-
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
