Mechanical Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our Gladstone Operations team, on a long-term contract.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Planning, coordinating and supervising daily activities of work crews • Ensure compliance with internal, client and legislative HSE requirements • Ensure quality, production and environmental requirements of project are me • Provide direction to relevant trades specific work requirements • Supervise, coach and mentor direct reports; ensure that site workers have the necessary competencies to undertake assigned tasks • Communicate with client representatives on a day to day basis, to plan work, keep them informed of progress, resolve any issues of concern and identify variations or additional work required • Development of improved methods of working • Identify and drive cost savings and safety improvement initiatives and report on lessons learned and completion/outcomes to the business.
What you will bring
• Minimum 4 years extensive Supervisory experience in the Oil & Gas sector is highly desirable • Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate • LNG project experience desirable • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others • The drive to get hands on and lead by example • Strong ability to manage time to achieve tight deadlines • Demonstrable experience in a supervisory role within the resources or construction sector • Experience in effective planning, scheduling, budgets, variations, management of personnel, resources and equipment to meet Project requirements • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal • Proof of right to work in Australia
