About Us 

The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and Framatome, located in Kincardine, Ontario.  SGRT is a part of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) project and includes the removal of the steam generators at Unit 3 and 4 and the installation of replacement steam generators with related plant modifications. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.

In addition to the existing contracts for Unit 3 and Unit 4, SGRT has signed a long-term Preferred Supplier Agreement for steam generator replacements at the plant’s remaining units as part of the Bruce Major Component Replacement project.

 

Under the general direction of the Sr. Task Manager, the Task Manager will assist in the planning, documentation preparation, coordination and scheduling of activities within their assigned task(s) of work.   The Task Manager represents the primary interface across all project functions for their assigned tasks.

 

What You'll Do Here 

 

Interface handling between engineering, field engineering, procurement, construction and quality Review of Comprehensive Work Packages Preparation of RfQs for Subcontracting Preparation of Task Plans per CWP breaking down the work step into tasks as well as sequencing the tasks as key input to the Level 5 schedule Supporting identification of schedule inputs such as requirements to support functions including safety, quality, scaffolding, testing and NDE, equipment and material needs and transport Supporting identification of schedule inputs such as deliverables, assumptions, constraints, dependencies and expectations Contribute to incorporation of lessons learned and risk identification Lead readiness reviews in preparation for the execution of construction work During execution, lead issue resolution and troubleshooting Handling of changes/revisions of CWP’s or new CWPs during execution including coordination of associated procurement and subcontracting items as well as replanning efforts Coordinate across all functions of the project as required to achieve task(s) goals Provide leadership to Field Engineers, Coordinators and Craft Labour Other duties as required

 

What You Bring To The Team

 

5-10 years’ experience in project execution 3-5 years Project Management related A university degree or college diploma in construction or engineering technology, or project management is required Candidate with mechanical experience is preferred Ability to successfully coordinate a construction project Ability to communicate, coordinate and manage subcontracts through the various phases of the project, with a focus on the construction phase Knowledge of all aspects of construction such as technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, scheduling, and safety requirements. Experience in preparation and delivery of project reports in writing and verbally, including presentation to various stakeholders Good communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential High proficiency in standard computer programs
