Our story begins in 2008, as a Joint Venture company between Nexans and Al Mirqab Capital and is fully managed by Nexans. We have been involved in many of the country's most ambitious projects, of such well-known end users like Kahramaa, Qatar Rail, Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Foundation, and many others. The plant is among the most advanced Nexans factories in the MENA (Middle-East North Africa) region. Being the worldwide leader in cabling solutions, Nexans has transferred its technology to QICC, which is extremely proud to contribute to the rapid development of Qatar economy aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.

 

In order to support the development and operations of the plant, we wish to fill a position of Deputy Quality Manager, QHSE department.

 

 

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR ROLE

 

The incumbent will be responsible for the various electrical and technical projects

 

MAKING AN IMPACT

Ensures quality system compliance to ISO 9001 Prepare yearly Internal Audit Program and conduct Internal Quality audit to ensure the effectiveness of Quality Management System Generates and updates Quality Procedures Ensures compliance to approved product system requirements Conduct problem simulation to determine its causes, and suggests or recommends solution using different statistical tools and techniques Participates in the implementation of operational plans involving quality related activities Promotes quality awareness through orientation, feedback and quality education and campaign Perform basic supervisory function to QC staff and operators Update, prepare and issue calibration reports Perform calibration of all tests and measuring equipment based on their corresponding specifications Provide technical recommendation and suggestion to develop and organize the calibration program procedure and control system Control, maintain, and updates equipment history files Develop / revise the procedures using the necessary latest test and calibration equipment Support in terms of technical problems such as repair and troubleshooting of instrument / equipment Responsible of customer claims by preparing reports, performing internal investigations and taking the necessary corrective and preventive actions Responsible of In-process section and in-process inspectors Maintaining the highest procedures for in-process inspection Reporting any un-safe condition during processing of the product Perform any other related activities as may assigned

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE JOB

 

A graduate of any Engineering course with minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience working in Manufacturing company   Excellent communication skills Shows strong initiative and adaptable to change Has a capability to understand customers' requirements and constraints (internally and externally) Has a capability to objectively assess the degree of compliance to a referential or standard for a process or activity Team Management skills Project Management skills Leadership skills Good project management skills (prioritization, simultaneous management of multiple projects) High standard for best practices and quality of work Good health and safety results Knowledge of English an asset
