Mechanical Technician Job ID 198255 Posted 18-Dec-2024 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Building Management, Engineering/Maintenance, Facilities Management Location(s) Clinton - Indiana - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE Mechanical Technician, you will perform complex preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and installations of basic electrical, mechanical, machinery and controls. Working under general direction, monitors machinery system operations and performance. Has critical, specialized knowledge required at client site. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. **What You’ll Do:** + Operates, maintains, monitors, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on site machinery equipment, which may include electrical/cabling, safety, vehicle lighting, equipment control systems, and digital systems. + Assist with modification of building equipment and systems. + Maintains the site equipment, including EMV transports. + Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs. Utilize available systems and track completion. + Support energy management by taking measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner. + Maintain inventory of parts, tools and items needed to complete work orders. + Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. + Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion. + Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail. + Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance. **What You’ll Need:** + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. + Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. + Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
