**Job Title: Mechanical Technician**
**Job Description**
We are looking to add a mechanical assembler/technician to our team in Evansville, IN. You will be responsible for assembling and building mechanical fixtures and motor components. This role includes reading blueprints and utilizing basic hand tools to fully assemble and troubleshoot equipment. The equipment you build will support a wide array of industries, including local companies such as Alcoa, coal mines, and other manufacturing facilities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read blueprints to fully understand the mechanical layout of specific equipment.
+ Utilize hand tools, fasteners, and other components to fully assemble/build equipment to specifications.
+ Troubleshoot unforeseen problems with parts and design flaws.
+ Communicate with electrical, welding, and engineering teams to resolve issues during product assembly.
+ Perform basic installation of wiring on certain equipment if experienced, including electrical schematic knowledge.
+ Ensure all mechanical components of the equipment are assembled within specifications in the Evansville shop.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ years of mechanical troubleshooting/mechanical assembly experience.
+ 1+ years of blueprint reading experience.
+ 1+ years of experience with hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
+ Mechanical aptitude and repair skills.
+ Experience in automotive mechanics and maintenance.
+ Knowledge of electrical schematics.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience building custom machinery/equipment.
+ Electrical wiring and schematic experience.
+ 480V experience.
+ 3-phase motor experience.
+ High school diploma.

**Work Environment**
This is a very large job shop facility that is semi-climate controlled. The machine shop can become hot during the summer and cool during the winter. The shop is fairly clean, although some areas may be less so. You will be working first shift hours from
6 AM to 2:30 PM or second shift hours from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, with the potential for overtime. You will train on the first shift for 6-12 months before potentially moving to the second shift. You will work five 8-hour shifts per week, with at least two weekends per month.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
