Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician (Environmental Simulation) whose primary responsibility is to support the environmental and dynamics laboratory testing operations by conducting the relevant testing activities.
This position will be based at the Newark, Ca location.
Pay: $28-40/hr
Responsibilities Setup and Run Environmental and Vibration testsSet components within test fixtures in Environmental simulation chambers in preparation for testingData collection/analyzing utilizing control systems, thermocouples and acceleratorsTroubleshooting test set upsOperate Thermal Chambers Skills / Qualifications Experience in environmental or dynamics or testing related to Element a plusAssociate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with relative coursework, projects or internship experience or related electrical or mechanical testing (material, environmental, dynamics/shock/vibe, climatic)Must be able to operate hand/power toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent computer skills required; intermediate knowledge level ofMicrosoft Excel is requiredMust work well in a team environmentAttention to detail
