LPS Mechanical Field Lead

Reports to: LPS Mechanical Installation Manager

Required Qualifications:

3-5 years of material handling installation experience1-3 years of experience leading small installation teamsHS diploma or equalProficient at reading & comprehending construction blue printsSelf-motivated, detail oriented, & results focused

Preferred Qualifications:

OSHA 30 CertifiedExperience managing medium to large installation teamsSorter installation & maintenance experienceExperience with parcel MH installationExperience with distribution & fulfillment MH installationExperience with managing subcontractorsProficient with MH Office SuitesHigh functioning & exceptional multi-tasker

Job Functions:

Embrace, enforce, & live a superior safety cultureConduct weekly toolbox talks with installation teamComplete daily job-hazard analyses (JHAs)Complete daily applicable work permits: hot-work, confined space, and arc-flash permitsRecognize & report incidents, violations, near-misses, & injuriesEffectively manage, coordinate with, and/or collaborate with multiple disciplinary scopes of work to ensure timely and accurate completion of scopes of work including:Mechanical InstallationPainting & Floor StripingPneumaticsFire Systems & AlarmsElectrical InstallationData & NetworkingCoordinate with LPS Field Coordinator on receipt of, maintenance of, and removal of:Rental equipment – fork-lifts, cranes, scissor lifts, etc.Waste receptacles & dumpstersRecyclable material receptacles & dumpstersOnsite toilettes & wash stationsFirst aid kits, PPE inventory, and safety fencing, screens, or curtainsExpendables, fuel, tooling, etc.Manage a variety of project types and durations ranging from a few days to several months.Professionally interface & interact with subcontractors, third party vendors, onsite customer contacts, and internal project team members.Manage install team and execute agreed upon implementation plan to ensure on-time completion to ensure on-time completion.Track & report installation team working hours, manpower onsite, and visitor access to project.Receive & document incoming project materials, deliveries, and coordinate outgoing shipments of materials.Take and file routine progress photos.Maintain 100% accountability of project materials – including whereabouts, quality, inventory, and installation. Report discrepancies early, accurately, & effectively to ensure project schedule isn't implicatedReport progress, known issues, change requests, deviations, materials received, and manpower daily to LPS Mechanical Installation Manager for each scope of work accountable to Mechanical Field LeadMonitor & report regular percentage of completionMonitor & report work schedules, work schedule restrictions, and changes to work windowsProvide detailed descriptions of work completed to LPS Mechanical Installation Manager for communication to customer & project managerStand ready, competent, and capable of self-executing project tasks and install activitiesOwn project installation quality for self-executed projects or subcontracted installsUnderstand and enforce Fortna standardsUnderstand and enforce customer specificationsUnderstand, recognize, and enforce OSHA and industry standardsConduct and collect mechanical red-lines throughout the project and communicate changes to planned install to project engineers at closing of the projectConduct onsite inspections with building, electrical, and/or fire inspectors for permit close- out and periodic inspection requirementsDrive completion of install schedule and execution of punch listsPush installers, both internal and subcontracted, to maintain the project schedule and help reduce escalating project costs.

The base salary range for this role is $24.09 to $36.06.  This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
