We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Supervisor to lead our Mechanisms team in Poway, CA supporting the development, qualification, and sustainment of unmanned aircraft.
In this role the Engineering Supervisor will collaborate with the Actuated Systems Group Manager while leading reporting engineering staff in the design, analysis (kinematic and structural), investigation, and solution of engineering problems related to aircraft mechanisms of flight controls, utility, and deployment systems. Scope of responsibility includes conceptual design and requirement derivation, analysis and detail design, test and validation oversight, manufacturing and field instructions and disposition, and hardware issue resolution and documentation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Participates with technical staff and program managers to develop and implement technical, schedule, quality, and financial objectives relating to aircraft mechanisms.Provide leadership to team members including performance and salary management for staff.Support and lead the engineering staff in the analysis, investigation, and resolution of engineering problems, including mentorship and oversight of reporting engineers and designers.May function in an advisory or leadership role for projects or programs and provide direction and guidance to less experienced professional staff or team of professional staff.Lead designs of aircraft mechanisms interfacing flight controls, utility, and deployable equipment.Supports implementation and verification of mechanical solutions on aircraft during aircraft build and flight testing.Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.  Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
