A mechatronics engineer unites the principles of mechanics, electronics, and computing to generate
a simpler, more economical, and reliable system. Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of science
that includes a combination of mechanical, electrical, computer, systems, and control engineering. A
Mechatronics Engineer designs semi and fully automated test stations used in manufacturing to
build and test our products


Responsibilities:

• Establishes requirements for moderately complex design projects. Prioritizes features to insure
the most important get implemented.
• Participates in code reviews and identifies bad sections early in the process and then
recommends solutions.
• Completes all phases of moderately complex design projects. Carries out all in-process and final
inspection activities.
• Develops and tests documentation for new products and reviews previous results.
• Considers latest technologies and new approaches to designs and implementation of new
designs.
• Reviews changes or upgrades to existing software and / or firmware designs. Develops new
technology to solve unique problems.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to problems using experience in multiple technical areas.
• Performs multiple tasks to support advanced technology innovation for job
function (such as, but not limited to: automation methods, process
digitization, data mining/analytics, data simulation, etc.)
• Applies existing technology in new ways to improve performance and productivity.
• May develop new tools to aid in the analysis and solving of problem.
• Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Receives general instructions on routine work, new projects or assignments.
• May provide guidance to non-exempt personnel.
• Networks with senior, internal and external, personnel in own area of expertise. Frequent interorganizational and outside customer contacts.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline required

• 2+ years of experience

 

Preferred Requirement:

Proficient in PTC Creo or equivalent 3D modeling softwareKnowledge/ Experience in with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and working in Medical Devices, Personal Care, Consumer Electronics or Pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus.Strong Knowledge of Process/Industrial Engineering and Lean & Six Sigma (E.g., Design of Experiments & Root-Cause Analysis).New Product launch and Project Management experienceProcess FMEA, Control Plan and Error proofing implementation experienceCreating cost models and performing feasibility analysis.Working knowledge for project payback analysis and financial justification - ROI.Working with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Analytical, Safety, Regulatory, Technology Assurance (or equivalent), and Quality Assurance (where applicable), in a technical role.Proficient in MS office softwareGreen Belt as a plus

Salary: USD 84400.00 - USD 126600.00 Yearly


Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
