ASML is seeking a Mechatronics Design Engineer to join the EUV Optical Column Mechatronics team in Veldhoven. As ASML pushes the boundaries of nano-technology beyond current state-of-the-art, we have a need to develop high precision machines while maintaining a focus on cost effectiveness and reliability. We are looking for someone to work on a highly creative and qualified team which focuses on sub-nanometer-accuracy positioning and adjustments of optical elements in the Projection Optic Box (POB) and the Illuminator in both our Low NA and High NA EUV systems.
A well-rounded mechatronics engineer in this position will work on developing new mechatronic design concepts and advanced control techniques for ASML current and next-generation EUV scanners. They will combine the principles of mechanical engineering, systems design engineering, electronic engineering, control engineering, and software engineering to create more accurate, cost-effective and reliable mechatronic modules.
This role encompasses specifying, designing, integrating, and testing mechatronic sub-systems and components which are part of ASML EUV scanners, as well as qualification tools in the mechatronics field. This will be done in cooperation with other disciplines but especially software, to assure a timely realization of (sub-)modules as part of competitive, achievable, and serviceable products.
Occasional travel to US and Asia can be expected.
Primary Responsibilities:
Education and experience You have a Masters or PhD in mechatronics, electronics, mechanics or technical physics, with specialization in Dynamics and Control.You have at least 3 years of experience in dynamics and control, preferably in new product introduction.You have working knowledge of software tools such as MATLAB, MATLAB compiler and Simulink.Experience with Python and MATLAB stateflow is a pre.Experience in multidisciplinary project work involving mechatronics, optics, electronics and software (Python) is a pre.Skills
